A. Introduction
a) To The Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers,
Good
morning!
Welcome
to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the celebration of Sunday Holy Mass. As we celebrate today the Second Sunday of
Lent, Year A, the Readings of God’s Word reminds us of our calling to struggle
for holiness.
In
this Sunday’s Gospel, Our Lord Jesus Christ brought the three disciples: Peter,
James and John, up to a high mountain where He showed them His glory.
We
are invited to join in the journey to see one day the glory of God’s Kingdom.
Please
all stand to sing the entrance hymn.
b) To The Readings
-
First Reading Gn
12:1-4a:
The
Patriarch Abraham was enjoying a comfortable life in his country when the Lord
God called him. He left everything behind
and following God’s instructions, went to settle in a place where God promised
him blessings upon blessings.
-
Second Reading 2 Tim
1:8b-10
Saint
Paul tells his disciple Timothy the truth that man’s calling to eternal life is
based not on human worthiness but on God’s loving design in Christ Jesus.
