VI Sunday in Ordinary Time—B
(February 11, 2018)

A. Introduction
a) To The Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the celebration of the Sunday Holy Mass.  The message of the Word of God for this Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year B, invites us to put our faith and confidence in God’s merciful love for the sick, the suffering and sinners.  Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the very face of Divine Mercy, appoached a humanity seriously wounded by sins, touched them and healed them from the forces of evil.
Let us pray to God, the forgiving and caring Father, for the blessing of healing which frees us from all forms of suffering and sickness.
Kindly all stand for the entrance hymn.
b) To The Readings
- First Reading: Lv 13:1-2.44-46
Leprosy in the times of Jesus was seen as God’s punishment for the sins committed by the sick person or by their family members.  They were isolated from the community and not allowed to take part in the worship of God.
- Second Reading: 1 Cor 10:31-11:1
Saint Paul urges us Christians to following up his good example serve not our own benefits but the benefits of our sisters and brothers.
