Twenty-ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time—C (October 16,2016)

A.     Introduction

a)      To the Holy Mass:

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the Sunday Holy Mass celebration.  The Gospel message of God’s Word encourages us to pray with confidence that God our Father in heaven always listens to us, and to pray without ceasing because we are not the Master but only servants.  Being dependent on God’s love and mercy, we, in some urgent situation though, have to wait for the due time of God.
Kindly all stand for the entrance hymn.

b)     To the Readings:

-          First Reading: Ex 17:8-13

The people of Israel won the battle against a bigger and stronger army not by their own forces but thanks to God’s support through the prayer of the great Prophet Moses.

-          Second Reading: 2 Tim 3:14-4:2

Saint Paul told Bishop Timothy his disciple to keep his faithfulness to Christ until the last day of his life so as to deserve a share in God’s Kingdom.
