Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time—C (October 9, 2016)

A.     Introduction

a)      To the Holy Mass

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the Sunday Holy Mass celebration.  The message of God’s Word for the XXVIII Sunday today tells us this truth that gratefulness not only makes us fully human in our social relationships, but also helps us to deserve God’s greater favors in our spiritual life.
A grateful heart really brings us closer to God the very source of love and mercy.
Please all stand for the entrance hymn.

b)     To the Readings

-          First Reading 2Kgs 5:14-17

For the blessing of healing by the Prophet Elisha, the Syrian royal official expressed his profound gratitude in binding himself with the land which he believed is God’s footstep.

-          Second Reading 2 Tim 1:6-8.13-14

Saint Paul teaches Bishop Timothy, his disciple, to be faithful to Jesus Christ Who remains always faithful to us even when we fail to uphold our loyalty to Him.
